I cannot tell you how excited this makes me. I stumbled across this recipe for what they called 5 minute fudge online. It's my mom's 3 minute fudge! It's the best tasting fudge you will EVER experience and it's so damn easy! I know my mom added powdered sugar, I just don't know how much. I think she stirred it in after heating the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in the microwave for three minutes, hence 3 minute fudge.
Here's the recipe without the powdered sugar which should still be really good. You'd have to experiment for the right amount if you do the powdered sugar.
Prep Time: A couple minutes
Cook Time: 2 to 3 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes plus time to cool (1 to 2 hours to chill in fridge to "set")
Servings: Approximately 20 depending on how you slice it. Literally!
Ingredients
3 cups chocolate chips (My mom used semisweet. I do remember that.)
14 ounces (1 can) sweetened condensed milk

How To
Put the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and pour sweetened condensed milk over. Cook on high in 30-second increments, stirring after each one, until completely melted and smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes. (Mix it up with dark chocolate, milk chocolate or semisweet to give the fudge a different flavor hit. You can also add a handful or so of chopped nuts if you like, stirred in after heating. Walnuts are great in it. My mom did do the walnuts sometimes. It's awesome with or without.)
Pour the mixture into an 8x8-inch baking pan. The recipe I'm tweaking said greased. My mom did not do that. She just used a clean glass baking dish and it came out fine every time. Cool completely before cutting into pieces. That should take about 1 to 2 hours in the fridge to let it "set." The online recipe I saw said to store the fudge in an airtight container on the counter. My mom kept it in the fridge and it's so delicious cold I would do the same. I can't have this anymore because of the damned ol' diabetes so I'll try to find a good diabetic friendly fudge recipe for us later. I'm not linking the original recipe article because it had a bunch of ads and this is so basic they can't sue me. Plus, my mom made this and I changed it enough from theirs to make it unique.
I did find Lily's no sugar added semi-sweet baking chips at my go to source for healthier food options. They also come in dark, milk and white chocolate. This is an affiliate link. If you order through it I may get some credit to use on the site but you won't pay a penny extra. Bonus!
