Asking For Civility Is Comical

As I sit here on this cold Monday morning, I used the weekend for self care and reflection. I listened to some streams about the FAFO season for those who sided with Theocratic Fascism. People lamenting that liberals are being "intolerant" that its a disease of our minds because many of us are setting hard boundaries now. In a country that has just told Black, Brown, Asian, LGBTQ+, Hispanic, Indigenous, and Women that our rights are no longer solvent. The nerve of this entitled lot of spoiled children to assume that they are owed civility. It is reflective of their general attitudes against equality. As they rallied against "the elites" because they allowed themselves to be systematically dumbed down by a society they upheld.

One where women are meek, men are masculine to toxic levels. Seeking higher education is only for the wealth hoarders. While openly hating anyone not like you is acceptable. And now they get to throw their misinterpretation of the bible into this toxic mix. They truly believe their ignorance is ordained by some deity. They refuse to grasp that it is their need to "make things great again" that holds us back from actual greatness. Their bias, fears of mediocrity and attitude that the only way society works is with them on top looking down at all the others. So no I do not feel bad for setting hard boundaries with those I know voted for this madness again. Or those I know sat out while our very democracy was on the line. I have no desire to coddle the feelings of folks who blatantly do not care until they have to care. Who refuse to politically invest themselves into a country that could have been better for us all.

I wrote equality is a mirror almost eight years ago. It was a thought that hit me as I watched Trumps potential rise to power the first time. How the world was vilifying the Black Lives Matter movement. And the rise of self entitlement all over social media. Marginalized groups are often pressured to give grace to those who hate our existence. But I truly feel something broke this time in 2024, a well of tears from years of navigating a world that sees us as less than has overflowed. And in order to protect ourselves, we must now do what we can to set hard boundaries with those who voted against us. No we cannot and will not coddle your feelings of hate. Your desire to dehumanize and destroy us. You may have won this battle, but in the true culture war, we are more united and smarter. We will see how this poisonous victory fares you.

From a boundary you will not be allowed to cross.

Does anyone proof read these articles? This author again wrote and published an article full of sentence structure issues and grammatical errors. It is very difficult to read things written in such a way. I will look for other writers here, but I encourage this site to have better standards or at least an editing process for submissions in the future.

You seem to have a bee in your bonnet, I am quiet sure none of these errors you claim to see are distracting enough. I simply think the message hurts your feelings. I won't stop submitting my thoughts I suggest you take up the NY times if you want MAGA drivel.
