Elon Robbing Hood is Gunning for Our Social Security and Medicare
The point of Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s DOGE is to cut entitlement programs so Trump can give tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy and corporations

Congressional Republicans are already taking marching orders from Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy and DOGE. Extremist Republicans, led by Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Andy Harris, are fighting to ensure that the fresh round of tax cuts Republicans have planned for Musk when Trump’s 2017 tax law expires are paid for with $2.5 trillion in spending cuts on programs Americans rely on for survival. Musk is in charge of picking which ones will be slashed.
Republicans plan to ram through massive tax giveaways for the ultra-wealthy and giant corporations, and pay for them by gutting programs and agencies that working families rely on. Unelected and unaccountable oligarchs — Musk and Ramaswamy — are in charge of deciding how much pain Americans will have to tolerate so that the rich can get richer, like an evil anti-Robin Hood, taking from the sick and poor and giving to the ruling elite.
Musk and Ramaswamy are being given free reign to decide what programs they cut to fund their own tax cuts, all while Musk himself benefits from billions in government subsidies. DOGE is the GOP’s political cover to blow a hole through the budget while tearing down popular safety net programs they’ve crusaded against for decades. And further fuck the poor to enrich the already obscenely rich.
The ultra-conservative Cato Institute, unofficial advisers to Musk and Ramasmarmy are already planning to “shrink Social Security,” slash benefits, cut the already pitiful and insufficient Social Security cost-of-living adjustments that are supposed to ensure seniors’ benefits keep pace with inflation, raise the retirement age, and more, according to the plans laid out in Cato’s DOGE manifesto.
If Republicans get their way, we could end up with no health care for veterans, no Medicare, and no Social Security, while Musk's and Trump’s billionaire buddies rake in tax handouts paid for by teachers, nurses, firefighters, fast food workers, factory laborers and so many others already barely subsisting in America.
According to the article, polling of Americans indicates a lack of support for DOGE and their dastardly plans and 4 out of 5 support taxing the ultra-wealthy. We must make our voices heard, speak truth in the face of outrageous lies and DEMAND that our elected Democratic officials fight for OUR Social Security and Medicare. Call them. Write them. Email them. Hound them. To do their JOBS.
