Peanut Butter Jar Cannister Set

Instead of adding to plastic landfill waste and spending money on a fancy cannister set or new food storage containers, reuse your empty peanut butter jars. Any plastic or glass jars will do, but the large and medium sized peanut jars are easy to work with and will make a cute set.

You already know it's food safe plastic because, well, food came in it. Clean it thoroughly, remove the label and sticky residue. Dishwashing liquid and some elbow grease should do it.

Then get some food storage labels online or, better yet, make your own with some sticky back printer paper or large address labels. If you have a printer, you can print nice fancy ones or decorate the labels yourself with paint pens, markers or whatever if you're crafty like that. The picture used here is, sadly, an AI generated image I then edited in a graphics program to do the label. When I get off my lazy duff and finish my own set, I'll replace it. I really think mine will be cuter. This just gives you the finished idea.
