I absolutely hate sharing disgusting crap like Jake Shields' utter bullshit, because I don't like to amplify people like him. However, it is important to point out the extreme levels of hate and outright calls to violence against the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans humans, being openly and widely disseminated on public forums like fucking Twitter.

And it absolutely contributes to #violence against transgender people in several ways. 1. It fuels #prejudice and #discrimination against the trans community, creating a #hostile environment where we are more likely to experience #harassment, #bullying, and violence. 2. It leads to the dissemination of misinformation and #stereotypes about trans people, which leads to misunderstandings and #stigmatization. This, in turn, contributes to a climate of #fear and intolerance, making it more likely for acts of violence to be committed against us. 3. Social media platforms can be and are used as a platform for organizing and coordinating #HateCrimes against trans individuals. Anti-trans rhetoric contributes to violence against trans people by promoting #prejudice and #discrimination, spreading misinformation and stereotypes, and providing a platform for organizing and coordinating hate crimes. And people like Elon Musk (Twitter) are perfectly okay with monsters spewing this hatred all over social media. But it's not just social media. It's everywhere. It's almost become "second nature" for people to say whatever they want about our community...and get away with it. And yet we are expected to come to work every day (whether from our home or in an office), put our heads down, and do our jobs. I'm at a loss. Help me understand. Most of us aren't getting the support we need (and should receive) from our employers. Most companies have remained mainly quiet about the anti-trans #legislation. When no one is speaking for us, when no one is standing for us...HOW do we continue to do the most basic things in our lives??? Make it make sense. Please. 🙏🙏🙏
