In addition to the five officers whose deaths have been directly linked to the January 6 INSURRECTION led by Donald Trump, more than 140 police officers were assaulted during the domestic terrorist attack on our nation's Capitol.
A whole bunch of American assholes either forgot of just didn't give a single fuck and proved it on November 5, 2024. Shame on every single one of you. Shame.
Useless ass Merrick Garland, of course, has some "strong words" about the "incident" today, after FAILING to bring the coordinator to justice. Or even give it a halfway serious attempt. Fuck Merrick Garland. Should have walked the walk instead of just talking the talk.
Here are the asshole's hollow words from a report from The Hill.
“On this day, four years ago, police officers were brutally assaulted while bravely defending the United States Capitol. They were punched, tackled, tased, and attacked with chemical agents that burned their eyes and skin. Today, I am thinking of the officers who still bear the scars of that day as well as the loved ones of the five officers who lost their lives in the line of duty as a result of what happened to them on January 6, 2021,” Garland said in a statement.
“January 6 was a violent attack on the law enforcement officers defending the Capitol, and it was an unprecedented attack on a cornerstone of our system of government — the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next," the statement droned on.
He did not mention the department’s failure to secure prosecution of Trump, which was dragged out so long it was allowed to completely stall out with his victory.
