"The Committee determined there is substantial evidence that Representative Gaetz violated House Rules and other standards of conduct prohibiting prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, impermissible gifts, special favors or privileges, and obstruction of Congress," the 37-page report concludes. - CBSNews (emphasis added)
Read that again. The House Ethics Committee determined there is "substantial evidence" That Matt Gaetz engaged in STATUTORY RAPE. The CBS report on the released report indicates they heard from a witness, who was under the age of consent at the time of the drug-fueled sexual encounter, that she had sex with him.
Yet, they did nothing. Nothing. He was never censured, disciplined in any way. No charges were ever filed. Nothing. He continues to escape any and all accountability for this and other CRIMES indicated in the report that states there is "substantial evidence" that they took place. This is beyond outrageous. It is criminal. The entire House Ethics Committee is responsible for covering up numerous illegal activities and enabling a sex offender to go right on offending. Protecting their own, as usual.
